10. Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (Unbreakable Machine-Doll)

Machine Doll wa Kizutsukanai (Unbreakable Machine-Doll)
Synopsis – The Walpurgis Royal Academy of Machinart was founded alongside the development of “Machinart,” machine magic capable of giving life and intelligence to mechanical dolls subsequently called as “automaton.” Its aim: train skilled puppeteers to control the automatons, as militaries across the globe have begun incorporating Machinart into their armies.

After miserably failing the academy’s entrance exams, Raishin Akabane and his humanoid automaton Yaya must defeat one of the top one hundred students to earn the right to take part in the Evening Party, a fight for supremacy between puppeteers using their automatons. The last one standing has bestowed the title of “Wiseman” and granted access to the powerful forbidden arts.

Thus, Raishin challenges Charlotte Belew and her automaton Sigmund to a duel, but before they even begin, Sigmund is attacked by other students. After saving his opponents from their assaulters, Raishin cancels the duel but is forced to search for a new way to gain access to the Party. Driven by the tragedies of his past, Raishin fights alongside Yaya to rise to the top and claim the title of Wiseman.

Similarity – These two anime are related because they involve 2 entities teaming up to achieve something, in hand shakers it is a wish, and Machine-Doll wa kizutsukanai it is the title of Wiseman.

9. Plastic Memories

Plastic Memories

Synopsis – Plastic Memories takes place in a city in the near future, in which humans live alongside androids that look exactly like humans and have human emotion and memory. SAI Corp, the leading android production company, has introduced the Giftia, an advanced android model with the most human-like qualities of any model. However, there is a catch. The lifespan of a Giftia is determined beforehand, and a Giftia can only live for a maximum of 81,920 hours (roughly nine years and four months). If they pass their expiration date, it causes personality disintegration, memory loss, and outbreaks of violence.

As a result, the Terminal Services are established with the duty of retrieving Giftias who are close to the end of their lifespans from their owners and erasing the Giftias’ memories. To perform this job, the Terminal Service employees work in teams consisting of a human (called a “spotter”) and a Giftia (called a “marksman”). The story follows the work and life of such a team in SAI Corp’s Terminal Service One office, the human protagonist Tsukasa Mizugaki and a Giftia named Isla. Slowly, their relationship progresses, and as both slowly fall in love, Isla is revealed to be nearing the end of her own lifespan.

Similarity – The main heroines (love interests) are both shy, frail, blue-haired, kuudere, moe, loli, Rei clones (my favourite archetype)
Plastic Memories is a better show, however.

8. Beatless

Beatless

Synopsis – With great advancements in technology, mankind has created hIEs, human-like robots that act as public and personal servants for society. Unlike many others, the kind-hearted high school student Arato Endou treats hIEs as equals, but his financial situation keeps him from ever owning one.

However, his normal life is shattered when an ordinary run to the local grocery store goes horribly awry. Viciously assaulted by a hacked hIE, Arato is on the verge of death; but luckily, he is saved by an abnormal hIE carrying a weaponized coffin. Her name is Lucia, one of five highly advanced hIEs that recently escaped the clutches of the mysterious MemeFrame Corporation.

Faced with a hacked car threatening to run them over, Lacia offers Arato a deal: in exchange for saving his life, he must register as her new owner, thus taking full responsibility for her actions. With little choice, he decides to trust this artificial girl and allows her to live in his home. Though Lacia begins to adapt to her new, peaceful lifestyle, she warns the entranced Arato of one thing—she does not have a soul.

Similarity – Quite similar, they’re both about a weak MC who’s empowered by some hot chick. There’s probably going to be romance in Beatless as well. Both females seem robotic.

7. Aoi Bungaku Series (Blue Literature)

Aoi Bungaku Series (Blue Literature)Synopsis – An animated adaptation of six classical Japanese literature pieces, including No Longer Human (Ningen Shikkaku) and Run, Melos (Hashire, Melos) by Osamu Dazai, Kokoro by Natsume Souseki, Hell Screen (Jigoku Hen) and The Spider’s Thread (Kumo no Ito) by Ryunosuke Akutagawa and In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom (Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita) by Ango Sakaguchi.

Similarity – Matters of:
Life and Death;
Zeal and Anomy.
Suicide and Egocide.
The tales encapsulate an image of morality:
no object too precious for fate’s destructiveness.
Ideas negatively collide in pursuit of entropy;
Wills negatively collide in pursuit of desire.
Asking “if the unstoppable and the immovable collide,”
both imagine the answer to be “they destroy each other.”

Hand Shakers claims hope in the face of bleakness that love and emblems protect a sliver of a core of one’s personal ego. The Aoi Bungaku Series claims hope in the face of bleakness that trauma and stains leave a mark of a tenet of one’s life’s story.

6. Granblue Fantasy The Animation

Granblue Fantasy The Animation
Synopsis – This is a world of the skies, where many islands drift in the sky. A boy named Gran and a talking winged lizard named Vyrn lived in Zinkenstill, an island which yields mysteries. One day, they come across a girl named Lyria. Lyria had escaped from the Erste Empire, a military government that is trying to rule over this world using powerful military prowess. In order to escape from the Empire, Gran and Lyria head out into the vast skies, holding the letter Gran’s father left behind—which said, “I will be waiting at Estalucia, Island of Stars.”

Similarity – The same character plot scenario, where the guy lock with a white-haired girl, and has to also has to have here to fight alongside him, the only difference is the setting.

5. Servamp

Servamp
Synopsis – Mahiru Shirota is a normal high school student who likes simple things. One day, on his way back home, he finds a black cat and decides to take care of it, naming it Kuro. The next day, however, he is surprised to find out that the black cat is, in fact, one of the seven vampires that represent the Seven Deadly Sins. His name is Sleepy Ash, he represents Sloth, and he turns into a cat when exposed to sunlight.
By giving Sleepy Ash a name and a cat bell, and then calling him by his given name, Mahiru accidentally forms a temporary contract with him. The contract is finalized once Sleepy Ash drinks his blood, making him Mahiru’s vampire servant known as “Servamp” and Mahiru becomes his master called “Eve”. Following this, Mahiru and Sleepy Ash, now Kuro, encounter Tsubaki, a vampire who claims to be the Servamp of Melancholy and the unknown eighth brother of the other Servants. Tsubaki intends to wage an all-out war against his seven brothers, while Mahiru decides to gather them to fight against Tsubaki and his group together.

Similarity – Main Character fights with a partner and gets stronger over the storyline. Both anime gives similar vibe while watching although Hand Shakers has a lighter feel to it then servamp mostly because of the vampires.

4. K

k tv
Synopsis – Yashiro Isana has lived a relatively ordinary, simple life. He lives in the technologically advanced Shizume City and attends Ashinaka High School, a notable high school that is located on an island just outside the areas. Yashiro is friendly with everyone. Nothing seems wrong about him, except perhaps his habit of forgetting where his school-issued PDA is. However, nothing normal has been happening since the recent murder of Tatara Totsuka, a prominent member of the infamous HOMRA. No one knows who exactly killed him but the man responsible bears an uncanny, identical appearance to Yashiro. Seeking vengeance, the Red Clansmen of HOMRA set out to get Yashiro and kill him. Everyone suspects that Yashiro is the murderer.

Similarity – This anime is quite similar to K…especially the art style and backgrounds.
The art style is decent, high-quality shoujo art.
Even the background art was similar to K..because everything looks brand new (appearance wise).
They both feature shoujo art with action and a focus on white haired characters.
The plot is different.

3. Clockwork Planet

Clockwork Planet
Synopsis – One day, a black box suddenly crashed into the house of the high school dropout Naoto Miura. Inside it was a female automaton. The endless cycle of failure and success. The world that does change and the mankind that does not change. At a time where reality and fantasy are screaming, the encounters of these two make the gears of fate move!

Similarity – MC in both love to fix things and get dragged into a battle.
Clockwork involves entire planet Hand Shakers uses alternate space

2. Selector Infected WIXOSS

Selector Infected WIXOSSSynopsis – Things are not always what they seem. This is especially true for Ruuko Kominato, when she receives a deck of cards for the popular card game WIXOSS, only to find a girl trapped inside her LRIG, or avatar card. Upon meeting others in the same situation, Ruuko discovers that she has now become a “Selector,” a player in a special version of WIXOSS where girls can battle each other for a chance to have their deepest desires come true. However, there is a catch. In contrast to the glory that awaits them after their victories, there is a cruel fate: if they lose three times, their lives will be destroyed.

Similarity – These animes are practically doppelgangers, the only difference is people are fighting with cards in one and the other with weapons in an alternated world. But everything else from wanting there wish granted, to epic flashy fight. These animes compliment each other like PB&J although if u don’t like CG u might not like hand shakers but try and look past it and watch the anime because I’m telling you, you won’t regret it

1. Guilty Crown

Guilty Crown

Similarity – Both have good OST
– Good OPs

– Similar use of cliches with little to no deconstruction
