10. C³ – CubexCursedxCurious

Synopsis – From the light novel series written by Minase Hazuki, comes a story of love, action, and comedy. Yachi Haruaki is a high school boy who is naturally resistant to curses. After his father sends him a mysterious black cube, Haruaki awakes to find a nude girl named Fear standing in his kitchen. She’s the human form of the cursed black cube – and an instrument of torture! Utilizing her special abilities, Fear fights alongside Haruaki to defeat other cursed instruments and their owners.

Similarity –If you liked Date a Live, you’ll like C3 (aka C Cubed). They both have some of the heroine characters who are not quite human and they both have romance/harem quality to them. They each also have a character(s) who is a bit on the blood-crazed side. Both are really good anime.

9. Campione!

Campione Matsurowanu Kamigami to Kamigoroshi no MaouSynopsis – Some people suddenly find religion, but for 16-year-old Kusanagi Godou, it’s that REALLY old time religion that’s found him! As the result of defeating the God of War in mortal combat, Godou’s stuck with the unwanted position of Campione!, or God Slayer, whose duty is to fight Heretical Gods whenever they try to muscle in on the local turf. Not only is this likely to make Godou roadkill on the Highway to Heaven, it’s also a job that comes with a lot of other problems. Like how to deal with the fact that his “enhanced status” is attracting a bevy of overly-worshippy female followers. After all, they’re just there to aid him in his demi-godly duties, right? So why is it that their leader, the demonically manipulative sword-mistress Erica Blandelli, seems to have such a devilish interest in encouraging some VERY unorthodox activities? Get ready for immortal affairs, heavenly harems and lots of dueling deities taking pious in the face as the ultimate smash, bash and thrash of the Titans rocks both Heaven and Earth.

Similarity – The power is in the kiss. And the protagonist (a guy who got lucky in life) kiss all the girls. Only while in Campione them the kiss to give you power in Date A Live he kisses to seal their powers.

8. Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

Synopsis- When Ryuu Yamada entered high school, he wanted to turn over a new leaf and lead a productive school life. That’s why he chose to attend Suzaku High, where no one would know of his violent delinquent reputation. However, much to Ryuu’s dismay, he is soon bored; now a second year, Ryuu has reverted to his old ways—lazy with abysmal grades and always getting into fights.

One day, back from yet another office visit, Ryuu encounters Urara Shiraishi, a beautiful honors student. A misstep causes them both to tumble down the stairs, ending in an accidental kiss! The pair discovers they can switch bodies with a kiss: an ability which will prove to be both convenient and troublesome.

Learning of their new power, Toranosuke Miyamura, a student council officer and the single member of the Supernatural Studies Club, recruits them for the club. Soon joined by Miyabi Itou, an eccentric interested in all things supernatural, the group unearths the legend of the Seven Witches of Suzaku High, seven female students who have obtained different powers activated by a kiss. The Supernatural Studies Club embarks on its first quest: to find the identities of all the witches.

Similarity – both of these involve a teen boy getting dragged into a fantasy-like world which involves kissing some girls. Yamada has to kiss people for certain reasons that are explained in the anime and then Shido kisses the spirit girls to lock away their spiritual powers. So in a way they are quite similar, both are about one boy and a group of girls pretty much with some supporting characters here and there. They are both heavily comedy with some romance. So I think if you enjoyed one you should like the other.

7. High School DxD

High School DxDSynopsis – High school student Issei Hyoudou is your run-of-the-mill pervert who does nothing productive with his life, peeping on women and dreaming of having his own harem one day. Things seem to be looking up for Issei when a beautiful girl asks him out on a date, although she turns out to be a fallen angel who brutally kills him! However, he gets a second chance at life when beautiful senior student Rias Gremory, who is a top-class devil, revives him as her servant, recruiting Issei into the ranks of the school’s Occult Research Club.

Slowly adjusting to his new life, Issei must train and fight in order to survive in the violent world of angels and devils. Each new adventure leads to many hilarious (and risqué) moments with his new comrades, all the while keeping his new life a secret from his friends and family in High School DxD!

Similarity – Both are the harem, both protagonist fight to defend the girls, both have comic parts, both are romance anime. Date A Live doesn’t have “nudity” in it compared to High School DxD.

6. Trinity Seven

Trinity Seven
Synopsis – Main male protagonist Kasuna Arata finds his world turned upside-down one morning when a magical disaster is known as a “Breakdown Phenomenon” destroys his hometown and claims the life of his childhood friend. After receiving a Grimoire (book of spells) and a sudden encounter with a Mage sent to destroy him, he decides to join forces and enlists in a magical school charged with training magicians to deal with these disasters. Now enrolled and underway with his training, he finds himself butting heads with an organization out to destroy the world, a harem of deadly magicians at his back and his new-found powers threatening to destroy him while the world hangs in the balance.

Similarity – I could say that they are similar in simple terms.. Arata of Trinity Seven also have a Dress Breaker and Shido is Something Different.. every Time He kisses A spirit the will lose their dresses. Date A Live is Not ecchi unlike Trinity seven but I recommend it if you love Date A Live I’m sure you will, other similarities too are, The Dere types of characters, there are some Kuudere Dandere and Tsundere like characters in Trinity Seven, Twins are Also Involve

5. Is This a Zombie?

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka
Synopsis –Not every zombie is the monstrous, brain-eating type.

One night while walking home from the convenience store, regular high school boy Ayumu Aikawa is killed by a serial killer, and is just as suddenly brought back to life by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. One small caveat: he’s now a zombie. Things get even weirder for him when he accidentally steals a magical girl’s uniform, and thus her powers! Haruna, the ex-magical girl, orders him to fight evil creatures known as Megalo in her place until they can figure out a way to get her powers back to her.

It seems that life is just going to get stranger and stranger for poor Ayumu from here on out in Kore wa Zombie desu ka?.

Similarity – Both have the same harem content (every girl falls somehow for the main—well almost every). Both are ecchi and have very similar action content. (In Kore wa Zombie, it’s fantasy-action and in Date a Live, it’s sci-fi-action, but both have a very similar action style.) Both have excellent animation and artwork. Both have the same humor—a really stupid but damn funny humor! Both have these situations where you don’t know whether you should be laughing or crying; these situations happen even when the lowest trash gets the most awesome thing in the world! They are both extremely cheap but still extremely entertaining! So basically, these two series have exactly the same atmosphere and flair

4. My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering With My School Romantic Comedy

Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru
Synopsis – For Kanade Amakusa, life as a high schooler should have been normal, and it would have been—if he wasn’t living with the most ridiculous curse imaginable. “Absolute Choice,” a system forced upon him by a self-proclaimed god, randomly presents a mental selection of actions that he must act out based on his choice. To add to his dilemma, it tends to occur in the most public of places, and his options never seem to deviate from the rude and crude in nature.

As a result, the helpless boy stresses through each day, fumbling to repair his already tarnished reputation while desperately praying to avoid the next spontaneous episode of Absolute Choice. To his dismay, the one in charge is always one step ahead of him and proceeds to not-so-subtly “choice” him into the lives of several girls at his school. Just when Kanade’s school life can’t seem to be doomed any further, a decision that he reluctantly selects on the way home sends a beautiful girl crashing down from the sky, along with the promise of more hysterically hellish choices.

Similarity – “Make a choice”. In both animes, the main character has to make choices, dating game style! In Ore no Nounai, the main character has to choose between two choices, and quickly, to prevent terrible headaches. In Date A Live, a whole team stands behind the main character, and decides his choice by voting majority.

3. Sekirei

Sekirei
Synopsis – Struggling yet brilliant teenager Minato Sahashi has failed his college entrance exams for the second time, resulting in him being regarded as worthless by those around him. However, the course of his seemingly bleak future is altered dramatically when a beautiful, supernatural woman falls from the sky and into his life. That woman, Musubi, is a unique being known as a “Sekirei,” a humanoid extraterrestrial with extraordinary abilities. These aliens are known for kissing humans carrying the Ashikabi gene in order to awaken additional latent powers deep within.

Recognizing the potential within the seemingly insignificant youth, Musubi kisses the bewildered Minato, initiating a bond between the two of them. This drags him into the high-stakes world of the Sekirei, where he and his new partner must compete against others in a battle for survival called the “Sekirei Plan.” However, unbeknownst to the contestants, there is far more at risk that what the competition initially entailed.

Similarity – Both are harem shows, which the main guy is your typical ordinary boy, until an encounter with a girl. In both shows, the girls are not human, both shows involve chick battle actions, and especially in both shows, the “kiss” is an important factor.
In Sekirei, the kiss is the “contract” and the power boost, while in DAL, the kiss is the power seal

2. Infinite Stratos

IS Infinite StratosSynopsis – An exoskeleton weapon engineered by Japan, Infinite Stratos (IS) can be piloted only by women. Its power and combat prowess are so immense that an international treaty has been signed banning its use as a military asset.

When it is discovered that 15-year-old Ichika Orimura is the only male capable of steering an IS, he is forcibly enrolled in the Infinite Stratos Academy: an all-female boarding school, the students of which graduate to become IS pilots. At this training school, Ichika is reunited with two of his childhood friends, Houki Shinonono and Lingyin Huang, and befriends Cecilia Alcott, an IS representative from the United Kingdom.

Guided by the legendary pilot Chifuyu Orimura—their strict homeroom teacher and Ichika’s older sister—Ichika and the girls will need to use everything at their disposal to defend themselves and their academy against the dangers that will arise during the course of their thrilling school life.

Similarity – Both are about male protagonist’s who works with girls to help save the world, however in Infinite Stratos the protagonist bonds with a team of girls and they work together to save the world from evil whereas in Date A Live the protagonist befriends the girls to stop them from destroying the world. Both are part of the Harem, School, Sci-fi and comedy genres. Also in both the male protagonists are unique in what they do, as in they’re one of a kind.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (The World God Only Knows)Synopsis – Dating sim master Keima Katsuragi wants nothing more than to immerse himself in the 2D world, chasing digital girlfriends.
